Public Speaking Courses
Just finished doing a confident public speaking course. After working with all the attendees using EFT, TAT and NLP, near the end of the day we set up a way to test the results.
The question that I asked the attendees was, “what is the worst thing that we could do to really test you here?” (I always give people the choice about getting up, they have to feel they are ready, that is important. When they do feel ready, people need to get evidence that they are feeling more confident). This is where my acting background really comes in useful, I get to sit in the audience, look totally bored/ disinterested and ask pointed challenging questions that really put people on the spot.
Can you imagine how hard that is? Some of the attendees nearly broke me! I wanted to smile because they were so good, and I liked them, still that is not what they wanted. I had to get back into role and challenge them!
I am actually smiling now thinking about how they beautifully used the body language that I taught to deal with my questions and take the challenge out of me. The placater (satir categories, NLP) is great for doing that.
I have to thank Anne for providing extra one on one support for people.
