Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a very powerful set of techniques that works via the bodies energy system. It is commonly used on many issues including those of war veterans and people who have experienced extreme traumas.

EFT can, and is used with all types of issues including sight impairment. This article deals with blindness and EFT.

Diane Woodfood recently attended an EFT Training course. Suddenly whilst joining in one of the EFT Training exercises, Diane noticed that the room seemed “very bright”, as if she was looking at the sun. What was so extraordinary about this was that fours years previously Diane had lost nearly all of her sight (she could only see slightly through her left eye and not at all through her right eye). Diane has been registered blind for four years. She uses a cane and has a guide dog. She lost her sight over a two day period after contracting meningitis and has been diagnosed with damaged retinas. At the time of the sight loss she had also been diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy. Now, Diane was seeing light through her right eye for the first time in four years!

Since the loss of her sight Diane has had four operations to try to resolve some vision to her eyes, none of which have worked. By the time Diane attended the EFT Training course, Diane had made a decision not to work on her sight. She had resigned herself to just accepting the blindness.

Now some of her peripheral vision has returned. Below is an interview with Diane, talking about her experience.

Since the training course which took place on the 9-11th September 2011 the improvement in Diane’s vision has remained constant (29th September 2011 – date of writing this article). She had only been using EFT for ten minutes in the session in which she noticed the improvement in her sight and was not directly addressing the sight issue. She is now considering working further with EFT, however she is busy at the moment using it for pain relief after falling off a tandem(that is another story!).
